I would like to dedicate this post to my wife and all the partners and families who support those of us working on this event. For me, without her support there is no way I could do this job as effectively and certainly not enjoy it as much as I do.
When I make the commitment to deliver my part of an event like this, it has to be a team/family decision, because this is not business as usual. Long hours, never-ending phone calls, continuous emails and all of this coupled with just a little bit of pressure to ensure everything works as it should. I am certainly not complaining, as this is all part of it, however from my experience, to have someone running beside me and cheering me on as I approach the finish line certainly makes it all the more worth while.
Happy 10 days to go! And thank you, almost there!
