It’s easy to assume when talking with close friends and family that they understand what it is we are talking about when we use some of the codes use in our working day. Below is a simple set of instrcutions based on a few of the acronymns we work with in my world:
“Please be advised, TOC DM to explain that the AC and UPS in the TER/CER is off at OLS and the TRA FA are not able to complete the MDS transmittal prior to the LOG truck leaving the MDC due to a NRG failure of the LPBW01.”
Communication is challening enough given that for most people we work with English is a second language. In my team alone we have over ten nationalites, so when we add yet another dialect based on venue, functional area, sport, room and position codes, is it any wonder sometimes things get lost in translation!
Happy 15 days to go! Boa noite CP!
