How fortunate it is for me and my colleagues to wake up each day in one of the most beautiful cities in the world and go to work on the Olympic games. Most days, I am looking forward to what challenges lie ahead. I say “most days” because of course like any job, there are harder days than others, and today for example was just one of those days. Nothing particular made it less enjoyable, but at this stage of the project it can often feel like someone is loading the dice against us!
But we keep on getting up and tomorrow once again my “Mr Happy” mug will greet me with my morning coffee and off I will go to be part of the team readying the stage for the greatest athletes in the world. And from that perspective, it really does make me smile!
